Collocations of Floor

The following sentences contain collocations of stairs with their Kurdish translation. The collocations are underlined, leave an English sentence for each by using the collocations for achieving your fluency.

I. She picked up a brush and swept the floor. 

ده‌ستی دایه‌ فلچه‌یه‌ك وزه‌ویه‌كه‌ی سڕیه‌وه‌.

2. Keep out of the kitchen for fifteen minutes. I've just finished  mopping the floor. 

بۆماوه‌ی پانزه‌ خوله‌ك چونه‌ژووره‌وه‌ بۆ مه‌تبه‌خ قه‌ده‌غه‌یه‌. تازه‌ زه‌ویه‌كه‌م سڕیوه‌ته‌وه‌.

3. We covered the floor with newspapers before we started painting the ceiling. 

زه‌ویه‌كه‌مان به‌ ڕۆژنامه‌ داپۆشت پێش ئه‌وه‌ی ده‌ست به‌ بۆیه‌كردنی بنمیچه‌كه‌ بكه‌ین.

4. I got down on my hands and knees and scrubbed the floor clean. 

چومه‌ سه‌ر ده‌ست وچۆكان و زه‌ویه‌كه‌م پاككرده‌وه‌.

5. The bank robbers ordered everybody to lie on the floor.

بانك بڕه‌كان فه‌رمانیان به‌ هه‌موو كه‌سێك كرد كه‌ له‌سه‌ر زه‌وی درێژبن.

6. Do you have a cloth? I've just spilt some tea on the floor.

قوماشێكت لایه‌؟ هه‌ندێك چام له‌ ده‌ست ڕژایه‌ سه‌ر زه‌ویه‌كه‌.

7. We took the books down from the shelf and piled them on the floor.

په‌رتوكه‌كانمان له‌سه‌ر ڕه‌فه‌كه‌ هێنایه‌ خواره‌وه‌ له‌سه‌ر زه‌ویه‌كه‌مان سه‌فت/كه‌ڵه‌كه‌ كرد. 

8. There weren't enough beds, so some people had to sleep on the floor.

جێگای نووستنی ته‌واو نه‌بوو، بۆیه‌ هه‌ندێك كه‌س پێویست بوو له‌سه‌ر زه‌وی بخه‌ون.

9. Be careful you don't slip on the wet floor. I've just mopped it.  

ئاگاداری خۆتبه‌ له‌سه‌ر زه‌ویه‌ ته‌ڕه‌كه‌ نه‌خزی. تازه‌ سڕیومه‌ته‌وه‌.

10. The canteen is on the ground floor of the building. 

حانووته‌كه‌ له‌ قاتی خواره‌وه‌ی باڵاخانه‌كه‌یه‌.

11. I hope you like climbing stairs. My office is on the top floor. 

هیوادارم حه‌ز به‌ سه‌ركه‌وتنی قاڵدرمه‌ بكه‌ی. ئۆفیسه‌كه‌م له‌ قاتی هه‌ره‌ سه‌ره‌وه‌یه‌.

12. Excuse me, your wallet has fallen on the floor. 

بێزه‌حمه‌ت، جزدانه‌كه‌ت به‌ربۆته‌وه‌ سه‌ر زه‌وی. (له‌ ژووره‌وه‌ یا ده‌ره‌وه‌ی خانوو یان باڵاخانه‌)

13. Excuse me, your wallet has fallen on the ground.

بێزه‌حمه‌ت، جزدانه‌كه‌ت به‌ربۆته‌وه‌ سه‌ر زه‌وی. (له‌ ده‌ره‌وه‌ی خانوو یان باڵاخانه‌).
