basically: you use basically when you are referring to the main or most important point or feature of a situation:
واته: بهشێوهیهكی بچینهیی، له ڕاستیدا. له كاتێكدا بهكاردههێنرێ كه دهتهوێ ئاماژه به خاڵێكی سهرهكی یان گرنگ بكهی یان تایبهتمهندی حاڵهتێك.
- Why did Anne decide not to marry Jim?' 'Basically, because she fell out of love with him.
بۆچی ئان بڕیاری دا مێرد به جیم نهكات؟ لهڕاستیدا، چونكه عهشقی نهببوو.
لهڕاستیدا، جیم لهپاش ڕووداوهكه هاتۆتهوه سهره خۆی، لهگهڵ ئهوهش كهمێك شهلینی ماوه.
Note: Basically is often used almost meaninglessly as an introduction to what you are going to say:
زۆرجار بهبێ مانا بهكاردههێنرێ، وهكو پێشهكییهك بۆ ئهو شتهی كه دهتهوێ بیڵێی.
