Kurdish - English Proverbs 31 - 40




The following are the equivalence of English proverb of Kurdish proverbs.
31. جوانیی ناپاك مایه‌ی نه‌فره‌ت لێكردنه‌.
31. beauty without virtue is a curse.
32. شمشێر بمشكێنی نه‌ك سه‌گ بمخوات.
32. better live with a dragon than with a wicked woman.
33. بزه‌ی كۆتایی باشتره‌ له‌ قاقای سه‌ره‌تا.
33. better the last smile than the first laughter.
34. زه‌ره‌ر له‌ نیوه‌ی بگه‌ڕێته‌وه‌ هه‌ر باشه‌.
34. better give the wool than the whole sheep.
35. گۆشتی لاڕانم ئه‌خۆم منه‌تی قه‌ساب هه‌ڵناگرم.
35. better go to bed supperless than rise in debt.
36. ئینسان سه‌ر ئه‌دۆڕێنێ، قسه‌ نادۆڕێنێ.
36. better to slip with the foot than with the tongue.
37. هه‌ر عه‌قڵه‌ له‌ خه‌ساره‌تێك.
37. be warned by others' harms.
38. له‌ ئاوی مه‌ند و له‌ پیاوی مۆن بترسه‌.
38. be aware of a silent dog and still water.
39. دیزه‌ گه‌ڕا ده‌رخۆنه‌ی دۆزیه‌وه‌.
39. birds of a feather flock together.
40. ئاو ببڕێ له‌ ڕۆخانا، خۆیی نابێ به‌ بێگانه‌.
40. blood cannot be water.

The following are the equivalence of English proverb of Kurdish proverbs. 1. دڕك ترێ ناگرێ. 1. A bad day never had a good night 2. ئیشی خراپه‌ نامرێ. 2. A bad thing never dies. 3. چۆله‌كه‌یه‌كی ناو ده‌ست له‌ دوو چۆله‌كه‌ی سه‌ر دره‌خت باشتره‌. 3. A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush. 4. مریشكی ڕه‌ش هێلكه‌ی سپی ئه‌كا. 4. A fair face may hide a foul heart. 9. له‌ پاش هه‌زار گوناحان یه‌ك تۆبه‌. 9. A fault confessed is half redressed. 10. چاكه‌ له‌گه‌ل ناكه‌س به‌چه‌دا په‌شیمانی له‌ دوایه‌. 10. A favour ill-placed is great waste.

The following are the equivalence of English proverb of Kurdish proverbs. 41. مانگ دیاره‌، حه‌وجه‌ی به‌ په‌نجه‌ نییه‌. 41. brave actions never want trumpet. 42. كردن هه‌تا مردن. 42. business is the salt of life. 43. مشتێك نموونه‌ی خه‌روارێكه‌. 43. by the little is known the much. 44. ده‌ستی ماندوو له‌سه‌ر زگی تێره‌. 44. care and diligence bring luck. 45. نه‌ ئه‌وه‌نده‌ ووشك به‌ بشكێیت، نه‌ ئه‌وه‌نده‌ش ته‌ڕ به‌ بگوشرێیت. 45. common fame is seldom to blame. 46. زمانت به‌ندكه‌ تا به‌ندی نه‌كردووی. 46. confine your tongue lest it confine you. 47. سه‌بر كلیلی ده‌رگای خۆشییه‌. 47. content is better than riches. 48. خووی شیری هه‌تا پیری. 48. crooked by nature is never made straight by education. 49. پێ قه‌د به‌ڕه‌ی خۆت ڕاكێشه‌. 49. cut your coat according to your cloth. 50. مریشك هێلكه‌ش ئه‌كا وڕیقنه‌ش ئه‌كا. 50. danger and delight grow on one stalk.
