Social Expressions: Telephoning 05


These everyday-life expressions and phrases can help foreign learners acquire spoken English skills so that they can engage in fluent communication. The key expressions will be explained, supported by example, sentences and where relevant, language help notes. Leave a comment by giving an example for each phrase. 

good morning/good afternoon You say good morning or good afternoon depending on the time of day, instead of hello, when you are answering a formal business call, usually when you are working for a firm. 

به‌یانی باش، پاش نیوه‌ڕۆ باش: به‌ گوێره‌ی كاته‌كه‌ ده‌گووترێ له‌جیاتی ئه‌وه‌ی بڵێن چۆنی. كاتێك وه‌ڵامی ته‌له‌فۆنێكی ڕه‌سمی ده‌ده‌یه‌وه‌ به‌تایبه‌تی كاتێك كار له‌گه‌ڵ كۆمپانیایه‌ك ده‌كه‌ی.

It is common also to give the name of the firm and sometimes the nature of their business: 
هه‌روه‌ها ئه‌وه‌ش به‌ربڵاوه‌ كه‌ ناوی كۆمپانیاكه‌ بێنی یان هه‌ندێك جار سروشتی كۆمپانیاكه‌.

پاش نیوه‌ڕۆ باش. لێرنه‌ز په‌بلیشینگ.
